There is a large number of collared turtle doves
and turtle doves in Romania.
|

|
|
||
|
|
The turtle doves are transiting wildfowl with highest
densities in the months of August - September, which is also
the best hunting period. They prefer the plains in southern country,
with wide areas cultivated with sunflower, wheat and millet.

|
|
Turtle doves hunting is practiced in silent hunt, on cultivated fields, or at the edge of the forest, waiting for the bird transfer to their feeding places. |
|
|
|
||
|
|
|
|
The collared turtle pigeons hunt is practiced near
villages, awaiting their passage from the fields to the village
or near the cereal silos.
|
|
|
|
|
|
A good hunting day offers a hunter the possibility
to shoot down about 12 - 25 pieces.
|
|
|
We recommend groups of 6 to 8 persons.
|
|
|
Recommended gun: shot gun, pellet diameter 2,25
- 2,5 mm (No. 8, 7).
